An Epic Journey of Adventure
| NOW CLOSED FOR THE SEASON "Fall Mazing" is like "Spring Skiing". If you really want to ski, you hit the slopes in January & February. In the spring, you just try to fit in a final day if the weather is good; if the conditions hold up; if you get the right day off . . . if . . . if . . . if . . . Likewise, if you want to challenge the maze you should try to visit in August and September when the conditions are the best, and use early October only as a back up date. Fall and winter come early to our area, so our corn gets frosted, thin and weak by early October. Once the cornstalks are weak, they are easliy damaged by heavy rain or wind. In the past, we have lost over 200' of maze trails due to a storm in early October. Get the most out of your maze visit and challenge the maze in August or September when the corn is thick, tall and green. If you like to combinbe your maze visit with fall foliage viewing, remember fall comes early to our area. Typically the leaves have mostly fallen by mid-October. So plan to come early. |
